During Nurses Week at Albany Retirement Village, we recognize all of our departments. Without every department working together, we can’t succeed. From resident care to dietary to housekeeping to administration to maintenance, without a commitment to excellence from everyone, we can’t deliver exceptional services to our valued residents and their families.
The retirement home has been built on the hard work and commitment of unregulated care providers. Today, we are highlighting Tiffany Fisher, UCP, on the blog.
- How long have you been with Albany Retirement Village?
I started working at Albany in 2010, it will be 9 years this summer.
2. How have you seen the retirement home change since you joined the team?
In the years I’ve been with Albany there have been many changes. There have been renovations and expansions which have opened up more job opportunities for more staff and different positions, and it also has provided more accommodations for elderly individuals who need care within the community.
- Every shift, the team at Albany Retirement Village accomplishes the impossible (residents are well cared for, the building is clean, and the food is yummy), what’s your secret?
Our secret to having such a well working retirement home is the dedicated staff. The employees at Albany know that team work is key; when everyone strives for teamwork, our residents receive the proper care and accommodations they deserve.
- What brings you the most joy in your work?
The most joy I get from working at Albany is being apart of another family, seeing that the residents are well taken care of, and that they always have a smile on their face!
