Tribute Bench

By August 17, 2018Our Team
Albany Retirement Village residents who spearheaded the project.

Last fall the staff of Albany Retirement Village organized a quarter auction that was held at the Petrolia Legion in memory of Helen Cepek-Simpson.
“It was the residents who came to us wanting to do something nice, we just helped organize everything and set it in motion,” said Albany Retirement Village staff members Lesley Duffy and Lisa Ferriss.
With the help of the community, the residents and staff were able to raise enough funds to purchase a custom bench.
“We chose a bench because of its practicality. It’s something the residents and community can use and enjoy – Helen would have liked that, and it’s in her favourite colour!”
It currently sits out front of Albany Retirement Village, at 423 Albany Street, Petrolia.
Albany would like to thank Fabmaster Welding Ltd. for making the bench, Concrete Systems for donating the installation time, and all those involved in gifting us with this beautiful tribute to our fearless leader, Helen.
